FAQ: Subscription + Shipping

when will my order ship?

for all in stock items: orders ship in 1-3 business days. you will receive a text or email with a tracking number when your order is on the way. if you've pre-ordered an item, please refer to the product's page for the most up to date ship date.

do you ship internationally?

at this time, we only ship in the US, including Puerto Rico and US territories. sign up for our email list to receive announcements on where we're headed next. we'll be in your part of the world soon!

how does subscription work?

there is a specific amount of SPF recommended for skin anti-aging benefits. our subscription service is designed to ensure you use the correct amount every day.

you can adjust your settings or cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account.

can i cancel my order?

once an order has been placed, we are unable to cancel it. therefore, we strongly recommend that you double-check all your information for accuracy before completing your purchase!

what is your return policy?

Returns

Is my order eligible for return? 

To be eligible for a return, return items must: 

  1. be unused, unopened, and in the same condition that you received it. Return items must be in the original packaging. We inspect all items upon return and reserve the right to reject a return if there is evidence of product use or tampering AND
  2. be received back to us within 30 days of purchase. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To keep our shipping costs low for all our customers, we only charge for one way shipping at checkout. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable and there is a $5 restocking fee per item if your return is accepted.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Please allow up to 7 business days after receipt of your return for your notification email. In the case that a return is rejected, we can ship your item back to you for a shipping fee dependent on package weight. If your return is accepted, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5 business days. 

 

What if my order is not eligible for return? 

We unfortunately cannot accept products back that have been opened or used or tampered with for sanitary reasons. If a product is not working for you, please consider gifting to a friend to avoid product waste.


Late or missing refunds 
If you've received a refund confirmation from us but haven’t received a refund yet, first check with your financial institution or credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at hello@habitskin.co.

Exchanges 
If you receive a damaged or defective item, we can offer an exchange for the same item. Drop us a line at hello@habitskin.co so we can initiate the exchange. Please share an image of the damage or defect if possible. 

FAQ: Sunscreen + Products

is HABIT clean?

clean is complicated -- there's no standard scientific nor legal definition of clean. we continually evaluate the industry landscape, research, consult with our chemists and regulatory bodies (in the US, that's the FDA). we currently develop our products in line with Sephora's Clean at Sephora standard. you can learn more about Clean at Sephorahere.

can i use my SPF MISTER while wearing eyelash extensions?

yes, our SPF mists are safe to use with eyelash extensions. you can always ask your lash artist for adhesive compatability if you have concerns!

is HABIT vegan and cruelty free?

yes, HABIT is vegan and cruelty-free. We do not perform any testing on animals. As part of the FDA's requirements for over-the-counter sunscreen products, all necessary testing is conducted exclusively on human volunteers

is HABIT reef safe?

'Reef safe' can be a tricky term to navigate, as it's more of a marketing claim than a standardized term used in product development or formulation of sunscreens in the lab. In the concentrations typically found in nature, the ingredients in HABIT are not harmful to either plant or animal life in the sea or on land.
